Johnston County ATV’s and 4-WD

Member’s Rules and Regulations

1)      You must be over the age of 18, and you MUST own any type of ATV or four wheel drive vehicle.

2)      Anyone interested in joining JCATV/4WD’s must complete a member application, and attend at least 3 monthly business meetings, before a vote can be conducted.

3)      ALL new members will be voted on by a board of active members to decide eligibility.

4)      There will be a $25.00 yearly fee due within one meeting after the acceptance of membership.

5)      The board will consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

6)      Meetings will be held at a minimum of once a month. ( First Sunday of every month)

7)      One board member must be present in order for an event to be considered a JCATV/4WD event.

8)      All illegal narcotics and other drug paraphernalia WILL NOT be tolerated at ANY event that the club is participating in.

9)      Alcohol and ATV / motor vehicle operation does not mix.  Therefore it will not be tolerated during the club events. 

10)  Excessive vulgar language, as well as excessive horseplay WILL NOT be tolerated. 

11)  All members will remember to keep all events of JCATV/4WD a family affair and respect others and their families in the group at all times.

12)  During each meeting a board member will “pass a hat” to collect donations for use on things needed / wanted by the club.  i.e.:  T-shirts, stickers, drinks, snacks, etc.  (JCATV/4WD monies WILL NOT purchase alcoholic beverages for anyone.) 

13)   If attire is worn that promotes JCATV/4WD he / she will abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the club, as it is a direct reflection of our club.

14)   When attending functions with the club all members and their guests will abide by all state and federal traffic laws for motor vehicles as well as laws put in place for ATV’s.

15)  Club members RIDE AT THEIR OWN RISK.  Landowners, JCATV/4WD, nor its members will not be held responsible for any injuries or property damage.

16)   Each member will respect landowner’s rules and regulations and accept responsibility for property damage that is inflicted to landowner’s property.

17)   The board has the right to deny any membership, and revoke a standing membership if rules and regulations are not followed. 

18)  Each member must have a signed copy of rules and regulations turned into club secretary, before membership can be established.

19)  A copy of a valid driver’s license will be required before membership can be established.

20)  Each member must attend 30% of JCATV/4WD functions to keep membership valid.
